Beta Chi Chi, Inc. is a chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc., located in the Northeast Region. The Northeast Region is one of five regions within Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc., a distinguished international, 501(c)(3) service organization composed of registered professional nurses and student nurses. Chi Eta Phi was founded on October 16, 1932, at Freedmen's Hospital (now Howard University Hospital) in Washington, D.C.
Beta Chi Chi was chartered on January 8, 2005, in Rochester, NY, with 18 founding members, marking the first Chi Eta Phi chapter in upstate New York. The Chartering and Installation Ceremony took place at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 351 Joseph Avenue, Rochester, NY 14605, with the support of its pastor, The Reverend Dr. Harmon Stockdale. Following the ceremony, an evening celebration with family, friends, and guests was held at the Rochester Crowne Plaza Hotel, 70 State Street, Rochester, NY.
On August 31, 2007, Beta Chi Chi was granted 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and officially incorporated as a New York State charity.

Dear Sorors, Fraters, Friends and Guests of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc.,
I am Marcella Carr Basileus of Beta Chi Chi, Inc., Rochester, NY. On behalf of the Beta Chi Chi, Inc. Board of Directors and members, we are welcoming you back to the city of magic, Atlantic City, New Jersey, for the 72nd Northeast Regional Conference and Educational Workshops. We are over the moon to be bringing you an authentic experience of “Bringing the ROC to the Boardwalk” at Caesar’s Palace April 16-20, 2024.
Our conference theme this year is “Leaders, Influencers, Trendsetters, and Trailblazers: Forging New Paths Towards Equitable and Innovative Healthcare.” The Members of Beta Chi Chi, Incorporated and Beta Chi Chi Beta are thrilled to have the esteemed honor of being the support chapter for this year’s Northeast Regional conference. The entire team has worked with the Regional Director, Regional Coordinators and Local Chairperson to prepare a conference that will provide knowledge, networking, leadership development and partnering opportunities. We will celebrate and honor members of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated and a local Rochester community organization for the impact they have made in the Rochester community. We are calling all gods and goddesses to join us for dinner and entertainment at the chapter sponsored event, the “Nightingale Nectar and Deities”.
